This morning I was reading the Science section of the NYT. Here they have a health section. Today there was an article about artificial sweeteners affecting your blood sugar. They neglected to talk about maltodextrin and it’s affects, but it’s a start.

Ironically, on the next page there was an article about athletes and carbs. In that article, they did studies to see whether carbs were really necessary for athletes. They specifically used MALTODEXTRIN as their sugar! And they didn’t even swallow it… Too bad the New York Times didn’t pick up on that.

The first article in the health section was also about diabetes, one step forward, one step back?
